SBW-4170 Solid Boiler Treatment Product:
Description
Solid form, oxygen scavenger and neutralizing amine product.
Function
This is a proprietary compound of diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA). DEHA is designed to remove dissolved oxygen from the systems, while providing metal passivation. As a volatile organic it will also protect the steam distribution system from oxygen corrosion. In the presence of heat, a portion of the product will break down to form neutralizing amines that will help elevate pH in the condensate system, protecting it from carbonic acid attack. This may reduce or eliminate the need for additional neutralizing amine. DEHA does not add dissolved solids to the system.
Application/Feedrate
Feedrate is dependent upon amount of feedwater oxygen and alkalinity. Generally requires 3 ppm of product per ppm of oxygen.
