The Hydrosense Legionella pneumophila Biofilm Test Kit is what we regard as the BEST BUY. This is a rapid test, yielding results within 25 minutes (Swab) and 30-35 minutes (Water).
This kit is a hybrid test kit of the Hydrosense Legionella Swab (Biofilm) Test Kit and the Hydrosense Legionella System (Industrial) Test Kit. This test kit is used to detect the presence of Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 bacteria in hot and cold water systems, cooling water, whirlpool spas and in biofilm. The test operates via a Lateral Flow Immuno-chromatagraphic Assay (LFICA).
Each kit contains the following:
- 4 Individual foil wrapped test (containing exact volume pipette)
- 2 Hollow fibre filter
- 2 Syringe with recovery buffer
- 2 swabs
- 2 60ml Syringe (Luer Lock)
- 2 re suspension tubes with recovery buffer
This test is intended for the analysis of water and biofilm samples only. It is not intended for the diagnostic testing in a clinical or medical situation for the detecting of legionnaires disease in humans.
The product is intended for use as part of the overall water treatment management and risk reduction approach and should not be used as the sole method for assessing risks associated with Legionella bacteria.
