Legionella System Test Kit (formerly known as Legionella Industrial Test Kit or Filtration Test Kit):
This test kit is sold under the Albagia, Hydrosense, Lovibond, Orbeco-Hellige, or Tintomere brand names.
The Hydrosense Legionella pneumophila System Test Kit is recommended for Cooling Towers and Whirlpool Spas. This is a very rapid test used for lndustrial systems. Test results are obtained in 30 to 35 minutes. Cooling water often contains high levels of suspended solids, which can make membrane filtration very slow or even impossible. Using the Hollow Fibre Filtration modules, the Industrial Legionella Test overcomes this problem to enable on site testing of Legionella pneumophila in almost any sample, with no other specialized equipment.
This is the Hydrosense Part Number 100182.
This is the Lovibond Product Number 56B006101. L56B006101
Some are calling these test kits Litmus Cell Dipslides. So, we thought we would use that.
This kit contains materials for the performance of 5 test iterations. COMPARE THIS TEST KIT TO A LABORATORY TEST COSTING $150 TO $200 EACH WITH A WAIT TIME OF 10 TO 14 DAYS FOR THE RESULT.
The sensitivity of the Industrial Kit is up to 100 CFU/Liter (0.1 CFU/ml) for Legionella pneumophila Serogroup 1.
- These tests are optimised for use with industrial water systems, cooling towers and whirlpool spas.
- This filtration step needs no pumping, just connect the sample point to the water system and use the system pressure to drive the filtration.
- Single use hollow fibre filtration modules.
- Pre-filled syringe containing recovery buffer, no need to measure or dilute solutions.
- The test is simple to use and fast, with no interpretation required.
- Results are easy to read and obtained within 30 to 35 minutes.
- The test allows immediate understanding and response to the water conditions.
- Use can reduce risk of outbreaks and litigation.
- Regular use will increase confidence in your Legionella control.
