Legionella Direct (Field) Kit (Formarly known as the Legionella Field Test Kit):
This test kit is sold under the Albagia, Hydrosense, Lovibond, Orbeco-Hellige, or Tintomere brand names.
The Hydrosense Legionella pneumophila Direct Test is ideal where a relatively insensitive test is required. It is the simplest of all four products - just collect the sample and place it on the device. This is a rapid test. In just 25 minutes, you will have a clear indication if the most virulent Legionella species are detected.
This is Hydrosense Product Number 100104.
This is the Lovibond Product Number 56B006001.L56B006001
Some are calling these test kits Litmus Cell Dipslides. So, we thought we would use that.
This kit contains materials for the performance of 10 test iterations. COMPARE THIS TEST KIT TO A LABORATORY TEST COSTING $150 TO $200 EACH WITH A WAIT TIME OF 10 TO 14 DAYS FOR THE RESULT.
The sensitivity of this test kit is 100,000 CFU/Liter (100 CFU/ml) for Legionella pneumophila Serogroup 1.
- These tests are optimised for use with hot and cold water systems, whirlpool spas, showers, cooling towers and industrial water systems.
- The test is simple to use and fast, with no interpretation required.
- Results are easy to read and obtained within 25 minutes.
- There are no chemicals to measure or handle.
- The test allows immediate understanding and response to the water conditions.
- Use can reduce risk of outbreaks and litigation.
- Regular use will increase confidence in your Legionella control.
