Grundtos DDA series chemical metering pumps combine high-precision dosing with unsurpassed user-friendliness. They use stepper-motor technology to greatly improve the level of control when compared to traditional metering pumps. Their variable-speed motor remains in contact with the diaphragm throughout the entire discharge/suction cycle, controlling its speed at all times. Variable speed for smooth dosing
The stepper motor runs continuously, ensuring that the discharge phase extends throughout the period between suction phases. This provides a more even mix. The motor automatically adjusts the dosing speed to provide the right amount of additive at all times. Thanks to the smooth digital dosing of these pumps, time between service periods is more than doubled—the pump even notifies you when service is needed.

User-friendly dosing
Digital dosing eliminates the need for complicated calculations that you'll find with other dosing equipment. Be your own dosing specialist: the simple user interface gives you access to an impressive range of control features using.a simple turn-and-push control knob.

Full stroke length at all times
Pumps use a full stroke length every time they pump for added accuracy and efficiency. The stroke speed is automatically adjusted to ensure even concentrations.

Advanced DDA Features
DDA pumps are able to detect overpressunzation and sense small air bubbles in the pump head. They do this using software-controlled technology to analyze the relationship between the diaphragm displacement and pressure inside the pump head. Diaphragm movements are then automatically adjusted at regular intervals to prevent air-locking, even during downtime. DDA models also have the added benefit of timer functions, batch control and retransmission of 0/4-20 mA signals. DDA series pumps accept external signals including stop, pulse, 0/4-20 mA, low-level and empty tank. They also have two output relays. Choose from PVC or PVDF models. PVC pumps are for use with general applications, while PVDF pumps are for use with more corrosive chemicals such as sodium hypochiorite. See specifications below for chemical compatibility.

Grundfos DDA Metering Pumps vs Typical Solenoid Metering Pumps
Using the latest motor technology, Grundfos metering pumps control chemical dosage by adjusting the diaphragm's speed of travel. The result is consistent feed of chemical throughout the entire range of the pump operation. By contrast, a solenoid metering pump pulses and the frequency between pulses increases as the pump slows down. As a result, same of the water in the injection line is not exposed to chemical.

NOTES:
DDA-FCM version pumps monitor and control the dosing output, self diagnose and self correct (when possible) faults.  DDA-FCM can eliminate the need for a pressure gauge, flow meter and relief valve in a dosing system. Pumps are self calibrating and regulate flow according to pressure changes. DDA-FCM pumps recognise gas bubbles in the chemical and changes its drive structure to eliminate them. Adapts to Profibus DP by adding the optional E-box.

DDA-AR version pump controls the dosing output by normal modes, manual, pulse and analogue.  Easy output adjustment in L/h. Icon menu guide and English language function text. Fault menu event log.  It will also degas while in standby mode. Adapts to Profibus DP by adding the optional E-box. Not preferred for intermittent dosing of Sodium Hypochlorite and other gassing liquids. Use FCM version. Standard DDA pumps can be adapted to Profibus DP communications by adding a, E-box 150 Profibus-DP.
